Stomach and Spleen Makko Ho Exercise
This Makko Ho stretches the Stomach and Spleen meridians. These two meridians run down the front of your body, through your torso and down your legs. It can be fairly difficult to complete the stretch so take it easy to start with!
Kneel on a soft or padded surface such as a futon. Sit with your bum between your heels if you can. Lean back slightly and rest your hands on the floor behind you. Start bending your elbows and leaning further back, taking your spine towards the floor. You should feel a strong stretch through your legs. If you are flexible enough, continue the stretch by resting your elbows on the floor and increasing the stretch. For the super-flexible, if you can, lean all the way back so you spine touches the floor.
